Catchin' up Post-Vday

Wow, it's been a week since I've blogged.  I'm such a slacker!  The cool news is that I have a few goodies to update you on.  First, I know that the whole "sour-cream" holder thing confused people, so I have a pic of some of the M&M filled sour cream containers that the hubster took to work on Monday with the Truffle boxes from my last blog.  (BTW, his employees loved them - turns out the men took their goodies home to their wives to show them... how sweet).

See, they are the same shape as sour cream containers (or fruit freezes).
I think Wendy's still has these sour creams!

Speaking of the hubster and Vday, we made an agreement - we're putting new tile in the kitchen and foyer - a pricey task as is.  We agreed that we would not exchange gifts (except a card and/or chocolates) but would just do our annual dinner out (yeah, Meson Sabika!).  So, I made him this cute card:

Bling'ed out with rhinestones, this cute card was made using several Cricut cartridges, my Cuttlebug hearts embossing folder and my new paper crimper.
There are four layers to this card... the red & and heart are popped up using 1/4" foam adhesive squares from Recollections.  The other layers were adhered with my Scotch ATG gun and 3/16" Glue Dots Minis.

The inside sentiment was cut with Wild Card while the layered heart was from  Gypsy Wanderings.

Hearts are from a Cuttlebug die cut.
Well, he pulled my trick.  You see, at Christmas we always set a price limit for gifts for one another.  He always ends up with more though, because Santa visits him too.  He switched up my little trick by purchasing a Valentine's gift for me, on behalf of our boys.  The trickster...  After dinner he gave me a jewelry box.  If you know us, you know where it's from.  "He went to Jared."

"A" for Alex, whose birth month is December, hence the turquois.
"J" for Jacob, who joined the family in January, giving us the garnet bead.
My friend Alpa and I have talked on multiple occasions about how ridiculously expensive Pandora is.  Well, he was listening and apparently disagreed!  My "boys" bought me a Pandora bracelet with my first 9 beads.  I love it! Of course, now I want a bead for Mother's Day, for my birthday, for Christmas, etc.  I have the Pandora book dog-earred on all the goodies I adore.  I asked him if this was the can of worms he was willing to open.  He said, "You think I'm scarred?  I like buying you things."  I take that as an open invitation! LOL.

Well that's it for this update.  I hope to get another blog or two out by the end of the week.  I'm working on some cards for a friend to give as a baby shower gift.  I'll post those once I'm done.  Plus, I need to get some new photos of the kids up - Jakey is so big!  Alex is growing an afro... maybe I'll take those pics after we get haircuts. LOL  Until then, enjoy your week!

Thanks for reading!
