Organizer

This is an organizer made using a manila folder.  I made it to size for several notepads I have laying around.  It puts good use to these random pads while giving me a new organizer for my purse.  It's approximately 4.5"x6.0"x0.25"

Now I have to admit, this idea was taken from a blog I viewed the other day, but I can't remember where I seen it nor could I find it again :(  So to whoever you are who came up with this - thank you!

Inside are two pockets on either side. Everything is wrapped in papers from a pack my lovely friend Alpa had given me a while back.  I have a pen loop made from Stampin' Up ribbon on the left.  Under the paper pad is another folder pocket that holds the notepad in place for easy refilling.

The outside is also wrapped in papers and a photo of my boys.
The ribbon is recycled from a baby gift we received.

Here it is again closed, but untied.  Too cute!

BTW, to make it black, I used acrylic paint on the outside of the folder after doing my scores and putting it together.  On the inside, I actually have a second layer of a dark brown acrylic brushing, but it is hard to see in the pics.

I'm very happy with how it turned out.  I really love that I put the kids ON the project instead of slipping a pic inside a pocket.

Hope you enjoyed checking out this project. Thanks for reading!
