Tangled & No baby by NYE

Last night we took my son on his first movie theater experience.  We started at Red Robin (Yumm!).  He enjoyed a Grilled Cheesewhich with apple slices and his favorite: chocolate milk.  Daddy chowed down on an A.1.® Peppercorn Burger while I tried the Shrimp & Cod Duo.  The cole slaw was horrendous, the shrimp tasted like something you would make at home (bought at your local grocers in the frozen foods section) but the codd was wonderful.  What do you expect when you order "sea food" at a burger joint!? :)  What can I say, when preggo wants fish, she wants fish. LOL  Next time, I'm going for the Arctic Cod Fish & Chips if I'm feeling fishy.  Usually, the chicken sandwiches are my choice.  All in all, it was yummy.  Of course on the way out my 3-year-old son chose a balloon in his second favorite color: pink.  (Yellow beats pink most days, but not with balloons lately).

We then headed over to one of our local $3 theaters.  We hadn't a clue if he'd sit through an entire movie and couldn't risk the $12/person theaters that are more central to our home.  I warned the hubby that he needed to be prepared to leave the movie early if this didn't work out (to him, the thought alone is close to sin).  Who knew how this would go...

Rockstar parking was waiting for us.  After purchasing our tickets to Tangled, Disney's Rapunzel movie, we waiting in line for our popcorn and icee.  Free refills on both - Yippie!  We were let into the theater along with dozens of other families and chose our seats near the center of the long room.

I must say, aside from one walk with Daddy and a trip to the bathroom with Mommy, he did well.  Thank goodness for gazillions of other children whispering here and there - his occasional noises and such went unnoticed.  Overall, he enjoyed the movie, taking particular liking to the chameleon, Pascal; Flynn Rider and the stubborn insistence of Maximus.

Overall, Tangled was a good flick.  Of the few children's movies available this holiday season appropriate for a toddler, all three of us felt it was enjoyable and the best option for our purposes.  Daddy is happy now too - this means his son is officially able to watch movies at the theater with him- one of Daddy's favorite past times.

As for NYE, I'm still preggo.  I'm pretty much expecting to have this baby on the 2nd when I'm induced.  I just don't see any signs of an earlier arrival.  Bye bye tax deduction. LOL  Honestly, we don't really care - I think we're pretty well set this year with deductions.  :)  But it's a little weird to think my children will be 3 years apart but born in 07 and 11.  They may actually be 3yrs, 1 mo & a day apart.  My boys :)

Happy NYE everyone.  We're hanging low, watching some flicks with family.  I'll toast the New Year with my sparkling cider while everyone else enjoys the champaign, but that's ok.  We'll enjoy the evening.  I hope you enjoy yours too.
