My Favorite Crafting Tools :)

I'm in love with a few of my scrapbooking tools & wanted to quickly share which ones they are... If you're new to the craft (which I am about a year into only), you'll want to go for these goodies first!

Cricut® Expression
I have the special edition blue Cricut Expression & it is involved with about 90% of my projects.  Since I first purchased this, I have been through one blade & I'm on my second mat.  It cuts beautifully & has never let me down.
Gyps y by Cricut
I recently invested in the Gypsy... TALK ABOUT WOW!  I'm a MAC user so Cricut Design Studio wasn't an option, but I am happy to have the Gypsy - I can now design while riding shot gun in the car with the family, go home & cut everything in one shot.  It has saved me hours & gives me much more freedom & flexibility than I had before.

Cuttlebug
If you're wondering, do I really need a Cuttlebug if I already invested in the Cricut, the answer is YES! The Cuttlebug allows you to emboss, make quick die cuts & is compatible with other systems such as Nestabilities (another favorite!). Also, while I was in the hospital on bedrest, the Cuttlebug was small enough for me to house in my lovely 5-Star room so I could craft while stuck in a bed with a tray table.

Xyron Create-A-Sticker
Having a toddler, the ability to make anything that fits into this 2.5" sticker-maker into a sticker creates fun for both mommy & child. Not to mention how convenient this makes sticking intricate, finely cut details onto your craft projects. Below is a photo of the Thank You cards I made for my son's birthday. I was able to layer the "U" easily (without any messy glue or dots) by running all of them through my Xyron. I also ran the circles (hand punched) & "Thank" (designed on the Gypsy & cut with the Cricut Expression) through the Xyron. It saved me time & frustration.

Martha Stewart Scoring Board
I got this goodie for around $14 or $15 bucks after using a coupon on my local Archiver's store.  The MS Scoring Board is great because it comes with the measurements you need and scoring points for a variety of card sizes including gate-folds, envelopes & boxes.  I used this to make the bags & boxes you see below.

I really need to work on my making straight bows!
Both boxes are hand stamped.
The left scalloped & regular circle were made using Nestability dies in my Cuttlebug.
The Merry Christmas was cut with the Cricut Expression, ran through the Xyron Create-A-Sticker & affixed.
The Peace on the right was made using the Cricut Expression.
The white edge punch is from Stampin' Up
Both bags have a scallop edge punch for the flap.

This box top was embossed with the Cuttlebug & sprayed with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist.
The center of the swirls were embellished with Ranger Ink Stickles.
The tag has a snowflake button popped through using a crop-a-dile.

This box top is hand stamped with white snow flakes then glittered for a little extra bling.
The tag is layered using an eyelet attached using the crop-a-dile to keep things together.
The name is written using Ranger Ink Stickles.

Crop-A-Dile
Given to me by an awesome friend, not only does the Crop-a-Dile work on paper, metal, chipboard & plastic, but also helps my husband put new belt holes in his leather belts! It punches holes in two sizes & makes attaching eyelets & snaps a breeze.  I've read that it works well on other materials, but haven't tried them myself (yet).

Scotch Pink ATG Gun

My latest tool that I recently acquired & LOVE is the pink ATG. I have been through so many different tape runners, including the Glue Glider Pro. I am so very happy with this product, I can't express it enough. It runs smooth, is easy to use & is much more affordable than Scotch's other industrial-quality ATG Guns. The refills will save me a ton as well compared to replacing my Mono-adhesives, E-Z Runners, EK Success & 3L tapes (yes, I have all those - & more!).

So there you have it, my favorite of my faves.  Do you have any of these? What do you think of them? How about other tools I haven't mentioned worth the buzz?!

Happy crafting!
