Jacobs hair was actually "buzzed" off by his daddy when he was a few months old. He had baby eczema and would pull at his hair to scratch so we opted to shave his head. Saturday, however, was his first real hair cut, stylist and all. He behaved beautifully! His daddy held him on his lap while I took pictures and video recorded the event. My baby boy strolled out of there looking like a handsome boy! He looks so much older with his hair cut.
Later that evening we prepared his first food. He was exclusively breast fed for 6 months - and still has no clue what a bottle looks like! We're so proud that he's had this great start, but alas, it was time. I prepared him a special blend of baked acorn squash and breast milk pureed with our Vita-Mix. Alex was so excited, he insisted on feeding his baby brother. Therefore, Jacob's first bite was courtesy of his loving big bro.
It took him about two days to get the hang of things. Now he lunges forward to eat - he even tries to "drink" out of his bowl when being fed. Now if we could only get him to figure out how to use a sippy cup... :)
It's crazy how these milestones come and go so quickly. I was thinking the other day that blogging is such a great way to capture memories. Yes, as you know I scrapbook. But for those daily things I forget to put in a book, I at least have them on Randomly, Jennifer.
Thanks for reading!
