Mini Brag Book/Memory Album

So one week ago I hosted a scrap and swap night with a hand full of girlies. My DH took both boys over to a park with his brother and his kids then they all headed over to my BIL's place to watch movies. I was home alone for some much-needed ME time. (Thank you babe) We had a great time - ordered pizza, drank wine, we even had a bunch of beauty-care give-aways (shampoos, make-up, OPI, etc. - courtesy of the DH). It's so nice to have girl time like that. Well, to my main point, the make-and-take I had prepared for my guests was a 3x3 Memory Book. Basically, it is a do-it-yourself brag book that, in my house, doubles as side table art. I love how I can flip a page over whenever I want to switch it up a bit.  The only thing better than the book itself is how each page within was decorated using papers from my scrap bin.  Way to get rid of those little bits that are SO hard to throw away!  The brag books turned out darling, so I thought I'd share some pictures of it. I hope it inspires you to spend some girl time and make a sweet project of the like. :)

The Mini Brag Book/Memory Album

stamped from a wilton tent sale find and a Stampin' Up kit.
Used MS inks, Crop-a-dile and Stickles.

The blue background is actually part of a wall-art rub-on.

B/W is sweet. The first mat has shiny silver swirls.

I journaled right onto the paper's design & used
Stickles for it to stand out.

The blues swirl and leaf are from that same wall rub-on.

The cute safety pins were rub-ons left over from
a baby book kit.

Even though the book is 3x3, there is plenty of room
to feature more than one photo.

DH loves the yellow mat - how it matches Alex's shirt.

I love the B/W with just a pop of one color.
It was the perfect journaling spot.

I think we sometimes forget that white
is also a background.
This was a random left-over die cut from my Cuttlebug.
I finally found a use for it!

Sometimes it is hard to put two unrelated pics together.
I found a commonality here - his hair
is cut and he's lookin' good.

Though it's not the last pic in the book, it's the last
one for the blog.  Hope you enjoyed!
