Cheater, Cheater, Pumpkin Eater!

About an hour ago we put Jacob down for some tummy time.  Adolfo and I started gabbing about his first graduate-level final paper that he's currently working on... then we discussed how it will be logistically impossible to make it to our monthly dinner outing with our friends in Lombard (BRIO Tuscan Grille!), to a birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese, and another family birthday party in Bolingbrook - all during the same times tomorrow.  (BTW, BRIO trumps all - it's been a planned event for months, the family party phone invite came two hours ago and the Chucky E. Cheese one was always a "maybe" because of BRIO).

Anyway, it got very quiet for a minute.  I looked down at Jacob, whose squirms had come to a silent halt.  All I could hear was an occasional sucking sound...

Well SOMEONE was a cheater, cheater, pumpkin eater!  This is NOT how tummy time is supposed to be done.  Oh well, he's so peaceful, we decided to leave him sleeping.

Meanwhile, Alex has been a doll - he's playing on NickJr.com for the last 45 minutes, letting us get stuff done.  I can hear "do you want to dance" on the laptop as the Backyardigans instruct him on what to do next - and "Use the Up Arrow to move forward."  Annoying, yes.  Does it occupy him for a little while, yes again.

As much as I have been meaning to get on this blog this week, it has been a busy one.  I found a few minutes to make a few quick thank-you cards for baby gifts, etc.  Of course, I only snapped a picture of one.  I really need to get back on the ball with these!

(Thanks Lynda & family!)

I have to make a few birthday cards for this weekend and upcoming week... I will do my best to remember to take pictures BEFORE sending them out or giving them away.  I make no promises though!

Ut oh, baby woke up and hubby is hungry again.  I'm going to make him a second late-night dinner... some fresh Cod we bought 3hrs ago, just for the occassion.  More goodies on that later.

Have a great weekend & thanks for reading!
