Pescara, Abruzzo, Italia

We have been living in Pescara, Abruzzo Italia, but I haven't really posted much about it.  So, I'm here to share a few pictures of where we were and where we are.

For the first week, we stayed at a hotel on Viale Riviera Nord, across from the beach and downtown scene.  This is beach/city living in Pescara.

Our first hotel.
The sidewalk across the street from the hotel maja.
Behind the trees on the left are restaurants with sandy play lands, sand volleyball courts, the Adriatic Sea, etc.
The "street to the right of the grass is actually a bike lane. The street is to the right of that.

We have spent a lot of time exploring the restaurants, bars and gelaterias of Pescara as well as Montesilvano and Chiete.  After our first week, we moved to a longterm stay location called the Spazio Residenza.  Also in Pescara, this is a better location for the family as it is in an area that is more affordable (not touristy) and within walking distance of family friendly activities (park, carnival, etc.).

Alex at the park the evening before we left for Rome.

Adolfo and Jacob having a blast on the bumper cars at a local carnival.

Since Spazio Residenza is a hotel/residence combo, it has laundry facilities (free!), daily housekeeping, free breakfast (awesome italian style cafes/espressos/etc.), and more.  The space also fits our giant American family of five. LOL

Sofa bed/living area (doubles as the boys' room), dinette and kitchenette.
The built-in refrigerator is a neat touch. Everything is VERY Ikea.

Master bedroom has an en suite, three wardrobes and a large desk
(last wardrobe and desk are on the other side of the room).

She's just too cute not to add to the pics!

We've adjusted -found grocery stores and delis and places to hang out, eat or grab a cappuccino.  On the weekends we try to explore other areas of Italy (remember the last post about Pompeii?).  This evening we returned from Rome and I intend on writing a blurb and sharing pics from that adventure within the next few days. In the meantime, it's time to get the three musketeers into bed (10pm here - 7 hours later than back home).  Thanks for reading.  Ciao! <3
