Cash in the pocket... Fall Shows Canceled?

Today was a money saving day... So it began when my mom and I were driving down 59 in Naperville when I decided to stop and pick up a coffee at Panera.  Used my "My Panera" card and got a FREE iced coffee AND a FREE pastry. Score #1 saved me about $6.  Love it.

Later for lunch the boys, my mom and I met up with the hubster at Red Robin for lunch.  Alex had a coupon for a free kids meal... $5 saved there.  After ringing up I was informed that I had received my 10th free item.  My $11 salad was a whopping $0!  $16 saved there!

So I'm feeling very happy with my awesome freebies today.  I still have a free meal at Benihanas, a free Starbucks and a free Andy's Frozen Yogurt.  How awesome is that???

OH - and I went to Brio on Mother's Day.  I had my free birthday dinner - Beef Medallions and shrimp scampi.  The hubby and I got to talking with the manager - a newer mommy herself.  At the end of our meal, she brought us the entire dessert sampler (5 yummy treats) for... (wait for it)... FREE.  Including drinks, the total was $31.  With my meal and the dessert, we saved around $34.  Again, I'm just lovin' it!

So those are my most happy recent goodies I thought I'd share.

As for frustrations - is it just me or does anyone else hate these shows that are ending with "Finale" instead of "Season Finale"?  It drives me nuts because I don't know if the show is returning in the Fall or if I will be terribly disappointed (as with the case of Medium).  I just watched the last "Supernatural" on my DVR and they did that.  After some web-searching, I finally found that the CW did resign the show for the Fall.  I'm relieved - I don't think I could handle two of my regular shows ending.  On a happy note, Jada Pinkett-Smith must have pulled some magic somewhere because HawthoRN is coming back.  I thought they had that show in the dumps (another bummer to hear the talk), but the preview for its return was on my trusty DVR.  Can I say "whoot-whoot"? Yes?! OK.  "Whoot! Whoot!"
